This website was born August 2004 in hopes to give direction and guidence to all who want to get involved in supporting our Military.
Through supporting my brother and his unit beginning in April of 2003, I have met and worked with some pretty incredible people along the way. Together we have helped promote all across this country, even into other countries! It is important that we support our troops as they are away from their families during war time.
In our endevours, we have seen lonely, worn out troopers, respond with enthusiasm and motivation. It has really been quite remarkable. We have hundreds of letters and photos demonstrating the success of support for these troops. This is why we do what we do, we know it makes a difference. I, and others, have personally heard back from commanders about the attitude changes because of a busy mail call. I cannot count the number of times mail call has been described as almost "Christmas like" to so many of these troops.
I am a former owner of 4thetroops.net. After leaving that site, I realized there is so much wonderful information that needs to be shared. There are people all over this country that want to get involved. Clermont County has led the way. A year ago last March, I put out a plea to my community in Eastgate, Batavia, and Milford. The response was incredible. I had a list of 100 soldiers from my brother's unit BRT 2nd Brigade, 4th ID, Task Force Ironhorse. People from all over stepped up to help. This was just the beginning. There were MANY cyber-support groups that supported my brother's unit, including a special group near and dear to my heart, Star Support Military. The support spread so much, we began to have family members and soldiers themselves begin to contact us for support. It was quite phenomenal.
It was just recently that my good friend and co-supporter, Erica O'Neil encouraged me to put together a new kind of site. A site that could bring together loads of information and many avenues of supporting our troops. There is something for everyone here. The links we provide, give you some wonderful choices in cyber-support groups along with information on how to get your own families and organizations involved. We can help point you in the direction of a dynamic local Clermont County support group meeting, for loved-ones and friends of our military personal. Hopefully we can answer questions you might have about supporting. We want to keep you informed of upcoming events the tri-state is offering in means of supporting through donated items and letter writing events. Maybe prayer vigils or celebrations. Please check our events board periodically. We will keep it update. If you know of related activities of interest, please let us know.
We hope this site will be a grand tool to push forward the importance of getting our communities and it's citizens in touch with the troops that so desperately need to hear "Thank You". Please contact us if we can help in any way!!!!
